I don’t get it. I have never gotten it. And, as he rants and raves, denies any responsibility for literally anything except being a victim, his cruelty is on the rise.
And his supporters have seemingly always loved or tolerated that about him and some spread his cruelty these days with campaign donations and/or death threats.
The “gag” order came about because his remarks were targeting and endangering people’s lives. His supporters have long laughed and celebrated, literally, his Bully Pulpit.
Was it a campaign rally or a debate in 2016 that first stunned me when the audience laughed at his cruel imitation of a disabled reporter, his mocking of Sen John McCain for being a prisoner of war, or referring to Rosie O’Donnell as fat and having an ugly face?
Did no one in the laughing audience have a disability?
Did no one in the laughing audience have a military family member?
Did no one in the laughing audience wince rather than laugh at a candidate for President of the United States characterizing a woman as fat and ugly?
What appeals to these audiences and individuals about his cruelty then & now?
When did cruelty become a virtue?
And, what happens to a country whose citizens celebrate it?
